Originally from Taiwan, Crystal grew up with golf in her blood. Her mother played on JLPGA and TLPGA for over 15 years. Her grandmother was one of the founding members of the Taiwan LPGA.

After a strong junior golf record, Crystal received a full ride golf scholarship from University of Texas, El Paso. Upon completion, she played professionally on the WAPT tour. She recently played in Q-School and remains active with her professional golf and her teaching.
